University of Plymouth

Welcome to the University of Plymouth's Lifepilot page

With some 30,000 students, we are the largest university in the region and remain proud of our history of welcoming students from a broad range of ages and backgrounds. The university is friendly, dynamic and innovative and our learners actively contribute to this, being lively, enthusiastic and committed members of our community.

Our staff pursue excellence in teaching, learning and research and the range of courses that we offer means that we can cater for most academic and career interests – from arts to law to marine science and much more.

We work in partnership with several colleges in the South West, providing a variety of accessible routes in to Higher Education throughout the region.

In addition, through the University of Plymouth Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry (PU PSMD), the University of Plymouth is responsible for a large part of the nursing and midwifery training in the region. Our students develop strong consultation and diagnostic skills and emerge as well-rounded clinicians, ready for the NHS of the future.
