How we look after your data

Lifepilot complies with all data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into effect on May 25th 2018

In summary:

The legal basis which allows Lifepilot to collect your data is as a ‘public task’ and also 'consent'.

When you access the Career Tools we ask you to provide your name, email address and create a password.

When you register and have entered your personal information you will be required to check a box to confirm that you have read the Lifepilot Terms of use. 

If you do not consent to your data being used as described, you can stop your registration by closing the page and your details will not be saved. You can access and change your details at any time by logging in to your account. You can close your account and have your record deleted at any time by contacting lifepilot@bath.ac.uk

Who can see your information?

An admin coordinator or supervisor with access rights can see the stored data and also the results of the user’s Skills Map. The supervisor function is not used but the functionality still exists on the site and has a small number of previous users with supervisors assigned to them.

How is the information used?

The data is stored on Lifepilot so that individual students can access their information.
