What will the course be like?

The course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to progress to university to study a degree, to further professional training at a drama school or into employment.The Skills learnt on this course will help you in a variety of careers within television , film, theatre and events.

On this course you will take units in:

-lighting design                                            sound design

-Set design                                                   lighting and sound technician skills

-stage and Tv floor management                   event management

-camera operation                                       Film editing

-music production techniques .

How is it assessed?

The course is very practical , There is some written assignment work but much of the evidence is filmed and evaluation is conducted through filmed interview. We describe the courses as consisting of 80% practical and 20% written work. There are no examinations.You are assessed continually through an assignment for each unit.

Assessments are graded as :

Distinction*, Distinction, merit or pass
