Education

What's this about?

Working in education can be challenging, rewarding and inspiring. Many teachers enjoy their work because of the satisfaction that comes from helping children learn and develop.

As well as teachers, teaching assistants also work with individual students and groups of students to help them with their learning and performance.

Teachers work in primary and secondary schools, both state run and private. They may also work in an FE College or a university. They can also work as a private tutor and work in hospitals, prisons and in the armed forces.

Other jobs in schools and universities are also available. For instance, administration, student welfare, librarian, careers adviser, IT and business/ finance support roles.
