Design involves art and creativity but may also involve technical and engineering skills, depending on the job.
The designer will specialise in a specific area such as car design, architecture, exhibition design, graphic design, games design or animation.
These designs could be developed through different stages e.g. CAD, computer modelling and testing prototypes.
A designer may work as part of a team and will need to be flexible as they will have to be able to change their designs depending on the customer's needs.
They must also be good at meeting deadlines.
