You will typically need 5 GCSEs grade 4 - 9 including English and Maths or a level 2 vocational qualification and functional skills qualification at level 2 in English and maths.</p> <h3>Transition Course offered in colleges to get you ready for a T Level</h3> <p>If you are not quite ready to do a T Level, then colleges are offering a Level 2 'transition course'. The course content will <a href="https://careerpilot.org.uk/providers">vary at each college so do check</a> but the courses will be aimed at giving you the skills and experience to be able to progress onto a T Level course.</p> <h3>How is the course assessed?</h3> <p>By a mixture of different methods from industry projects to exams and industry set tests.</p> <h3>How long will the T level take?</h3> <p>2 years - although you could be taken onto an apprenticeship during your course.</p> <h4>Options after the course?</h4> <p>You will have the experience to progress onto a higher or degree apprenticeship or to be able to progress on to Higher Education in the job area you have trained in.</p>
